Dr. Megan Blake discusses her work with an organisation in Greater Manchester, UK that redirects surplus food to more than 8000 households. During the UK COVID national lockdown this organisation, along with others, supported the local authority to feed people who were food insecure either because they were clinically vulnerable or because they lack financial resources.
Megan talks about deprived foodscapes and the findings from her research alongside the director of the project, a representative from the council and a director at Morrisons (supermarket).
