Make Food Not Waste are hosting a number of online events this September where mixologists, chefs and bakers from Detroit talk about how you can make delicious food and treats in unexpected ways.
Make Food Not Waste helps businesses and individuals prevent food from ending up in landfills. Through partnerships with local and national organisations, they support a variety of prevention, recovery, and diversion efforts to help build a waste-free future.
Rather than the annual Eastern Market, this year a cooking series will feature Detroit chefs, mixologists and bakers who share how to make food go further. This will highlight new (and old) recipes that cross cultures. The six-episode series will show how delicious it can be to waste less.
Host Amanda Saab takes viewers on a journey across Detroit in search of great recipes. Viewers can register to watch the series online by visiting www.makefoodnotwaste.org/events.
